This fish is one of the Red Sea's greatest masters of camouflage!

Its flat body and mottled pattern allow it to blend almost perfectly into the sandy seabed and coral rubble. Even the tiny fringes around its eyes help disguise its outline, making it incredibly difficult to spot.

Meet the Crocodilefish—an ambush predator that lies perfectly still on the bottom, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. In the Red Sea, it's most commonly found at depths of about 1 to 15 meters (3–50 feet). 🌊🤿
