How diving is organized in Sharm El Sheikh?
- Let's take a look at the main organizational aspects of diving in Sharm El Sheikh.
- Transfer from the hotel to the port or shore and back is included in the diving program.
- Our guides accompany you on all dives.
- Maximum ratio of certified divers to guides: one guide for 4 pairs of divers.
- All dive sites are equipped with safety equipment: communication, first aid kit, oxygen, etc.
- Before each dive, the guide will give a briefing about the dive and safety.
- The diving program can be changed according to your reasonable wishes.
- Scuba Diver and Junior Open Water Diver certified divers can dive up to 12m only if accompanied by a personal guide or an experienced partner.
- Trial boat dives without a certificate in Sharm are possible on very few strictly limited dive sites. We recommend starting your acquaintance with SCUBA diving from the shore.
Check Dive and SCUBA Refresher Program
If you haven't dived for more than half a year, we strongly advise you to take the Scuba Refresh program. You will have the opportunity to recall the basic safety skills, pick adjust weights and dive equipment. The check Refresher dive is conducted from shore in Naama Bay and is a full time dive till 50 bar in your tank.
Boat Diving in Sharm El Sheikh
All Dolphins’ boats are comfortable motor yachts of 25-30 meters, specially built for diving.
All boats are equipped with first aid equipment, means of communication and oxygen kits.
Hot and cold soft drinks and a hot lunch are served on all boats. The cost is $8 per person.
Your non-diving relatives and friends can accompany you on all exits.
Boats leave jetty at 08:30 and return at around 16:30.
Usually we do two dives before lunch. You can also do optional third dive after lunch. It costs $25.
From November 2019, the Government Park Fee is $ 8 per person per day of boat diving.
Shore diving
- Our house reef in Naama Bay is ideal for beautiful long dives with a partner and a guide, diving courses, night dives, check dives, refreshing skills after a significant break.
- Dahab is a famous Bedouin town 100 km north of Sharm. The famous dive sites of Blue Hole and Canyon are located here. We go diving there regularly with a minimum of 4 divers.
- Bay of Marsa Bareika and other dive sites in Ras Mohamed National Park
- Day and occasionally night dives on the wall of the Ras Um Sid site are our favorite activity. Be sure to ask our instructors and administrators about this dive.

At Dolphin, you can get DivaAssist International Dive Insurance. It costs 8$ per diving day.
This policy is valid at any hyperbaric center in Egypt and in most medical institutions in this country.
Diving insurance is mandatory for divers under 18 and over 55 years old.
