TEC REC TECHNODIVING COURSES

In the lives of many divers, there comes a time when you want to dive deeper. This means that it's time to learn what technical diving is.

Technical diving is a dive that includes one of the following elements

  • Immersion depth exceeds 40 meters
  • The amount of inert gases accumulated during the dive makes it necessary to make decompression stops.
  • During the dive, it is planned to penetrate into overhead environments - diving into caves, penetrating sunken ships, diving under ice.
  • To combat nitrogen narcosis, oxygen poisoning and for accelerated decompression, several gas mixtures are used on one dive.

Technical diving is characterized by the following:

  • Careful planning of each dive.
  • The use of more complex equipment in comparison with recreational diving.
  • Serious theoretical training of a diver.
  • Significant stress resistance and an attentive approach to psychological and physical health.

A diver who is able to safely make deep and difficult dives commands great respect from others, but the degree of risk in technical diving is many times higher in comparison with recreation.

If you are not willing to take this risk and the added responsibility for your life and the lives of your buddies, you should not engage in technical diving.
