The Advanced course is designed for divers who want to improve their skills and get the most out of their diving.

The main goal of the advanced diving course is to make you an even more independent diver and teach you to better understand the underwater world.

During the 5 training dives of the Advanced Open Water Course, we will introduce you to the different situations that can be encountered underwater: depths of up to 30 meters, currents, limited visibility, use of a computer, orientation underwater, diving from a boat and from the shore...

The variety and accessibility of a wide variety of dive sites in Sharm make our Advanced Open Water Diver Course as interesting and effective as possible. We will select for you sites with the most characteristic features of this thematic dive.

Training takes place directly in the water during the dive, where all skills are practiced. Immersion is preceded by the study of theory from a textbook and in a conversation with an instructor.

Dolphin recommends you the most useful dives from the Advanced Open Water course:

  • deep dive (mandatory);
  • underwater navigation (mandatory);
  • buoyancy control;
  • diving on a sunken ship;
  • immersion in currents;
  • diving with a dive computer;
  • underwater digital photography;
  • night dive (supplement to the cost of the course $ 25);
  • immersion with enriched air (NITROX).

However, in the process of almost any dive, you may encounter elements of many of these topics.

Importantly

To obtain the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, a total of 5 dives must be completed, among which deep diving and underwater navigation are mandatory.

According to PADI standards, anyone who is already 12 years old and who has PADI Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver certificates can start classes on the Adventures in Diving course program or their equivalents. Children 12-14 years old who successfully master the program will receive a Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certificate. Dolphin recommends a minimum age of 14 years to study in this course.

Maximum depth of dives after the AOWD course:

  • 30 meters for divers from 15 years old,
  • 21 meters for Junior AOWD students 13-14 years old
  • 12 meters for students 12 years old.

If you have had a significant break, we recommend that you first dive for 1 or 2 days from the shore or from the ship before taking the AOWD course. Or make a check dive from the shore.

With the PADI Advanced Open Water certification, the diver achieves the level required to complete the Rescue Diver course. And also for learning deep diving and many other interesting types of underwater activities.
